Glutinous Rice
Glutinous rice is a rare Johor durian that is generally sweet with little to no bitterness.
The mandarin name is nuo mi (糯米) or zoot bee in Hokkien dialect.
It’s flesh is of a pale colour like jinfeng.
The name of this durian is a reference to the texture of the flesh feeling like sticky glutinous rice in the mouth. It also won’t be far off to describing the texture like dough or muar chee.
It is so sticky that you might need water to flush it down your throat.
