Pineapple Head Durian
The pineapple head durian is named because the messy arrangement of the thorns resemble that of the head of a pineapple.
Huang li tou (黄梨头) in Chinese.

This is a durian that packs a strong bitter taste that invades your mouth from the first bite. Then it slowly settles down and releases a somewhat caramel flavour.
There is no taste that resembles that of a pineapple.
