Silver line is a rare durian found in the Sungai Ara area of Penang. I personally prefer to call it silver lining.

It got it’s name from the very noticeable seam lines along the husk. Some can have these lines jut out like a sore thumb which is a very unique characteristic for durians.

This durian can come in small and large sizes. The big ones can be as big as 3 kilos.

The fruitlets are pale yellow in colour. Some can be in a hue so pale that it looks cream.

The flesh is soft with little fiber. Dry like red bean paste but not sticky. It taste bittersweet. When the dry textured flesh sticks to your tastebuds, the flavour will come out more.
