Ang Jin Durian aka Red Yolk
Ang jin durian has the mandarin name 红仁 (hong ren) which translates to red benevolence.
But because the hokkien pronunciation of 仁 is jin, it sounds lot like the hokkien word for yolk. Thus ang jin is often known as red yolk as well.

It is rumoured to have originated from the Khun Poh lineage, but this cannot be verified. Even Mr Liew of the Khun Poh farm cannot verify this.
The flavour and texture is very similar to little red with a complex floral taste. And like a lot durians, it’s very delightful when in season.
